Article Submission
Send us your articles
Michigan State International Law Review is the international journal of Michigan State Law School. We receive thousands of submissions each year, and publish approximately 15-20 articles in three to four issues.
Article Submission Requirements
Submissions should be no fewer than 7,000 words in length and focused on international topics.
We request no student-authored articles be submitted, but will consider articles co-written by a student or students. Articles should include, at a minimum, a title, abstract, table of contents, and footnotes accompanying assertions.
Submit your manuscript through Michigan State International Law Review’s Scholastica page:
Articles should use footnotes.
Text, citations, and footnotes must conform with the The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (21st ed. 2020) and The Redbook: A Manual on Legal Style (3d ed. 2002).
Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. We do our best to review all requests within five to seven days.
If an article is accepted for publication elsewhere, please notify us with a withdrawal request as soon as possible.
